Can’t believe I’m now at my age wearing glasses.
They say it’s because I’m getting older.
The smaller the print, the more challenging it becomes. This is another new journey for me.
I’ve noticed my body frame and know that I must continue to get healthy.
I only have one life to live. May the Creator strengthen me in spirit; in health; in abundance; in relationships; in accomplishing goals.
I thank the Creator for another day to get it right and be grateful for all that’s come my way! Onward…
It’s been five years ago on May 8, 2011 that I was inspired to do a blog about my health fitness journey. Don’t get me wrong. I still want to pursue and maintain a healthier lifestyle. I know that I’ve slipped and fallen short of the glory.
When my mother, the late Catherine Davis Richardson, went home to the Creator on November 2009, it was a wake-up call for me to get my health in order. My family history consists of diabetes and high blood pressure. I REFUSED to become part of the statistic! I’ve fluctuated between weight loss and energy gain. I desire to get back to healthy.
I recently had an annual physical; an eye exam; finally purchased walking sneakers; getting the prescriptions I needed; my pursuit of drinking more water with Apple cider vinegar. Now I recently saw the fitness center at work. I hope to take advantage of it soon.
If you told me several years ago that I would share some of my journey in a blog, I’d probably look at you with a mean side-eye. Additionally, I’m going to celebrate me and lean more towards self-love and self-care. I’m still on the journey!
Here’s to all the mothers who are celebrating this past weekend and the other 364 days of the year; those who inspire, encourage, and love us like no one else!
