It’s interesting how we hear the phrase “Love Yourself” more around Valentine’s Day. This should be a 24-hour; 7 days a week; 365 days of the year occurrence – not just ONE day in the year.
This weekend was a full time of events and errands to run. Makes me appreciate the next holiday, where I hope to be able to reflect and relax until then. I need to make the best of it.
This weekend, I presided over a meeting; treated myself to a special concert at the Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club; went to another parish in Southeast DC; attended a Black History Month Concert and reception at my church; ran an errand to get a new printer cartridge. Along the journey, there were healthier choices made for food, and some weren’t good choices at other times of the day.
Overall, I haven’t lost sight of my health fitness journey, although my actions say otherwise.
We need to love ourselves mind, body, and spirit. Our overall health depends on it. We won’t be able to help others if our energy isn’t stable and in sync.
This is a short post. I’ll share music I like in honor of today….
