It’s amazing that six weeks of the Lenten Journey are now over, and people from all walks of life are celebrating today Jesus rising from the dead, known to some as “Resurrection Sunday.”
These past few weeks have contained many challenges and have forced me to make decisions (with God’s help of course). In addition to my professional life, my personal life and journey continues to change. If I want to do better in my health fitness journey, I must declare it and “walk the walk.” No way will I be able to look and feel better with a frozen yogurt for the day and Wendy’s for dinner later!
With all that’s going on during the observations of Lent and Holy Week, the decision I asked God to help me make are the ones that help me get closer to him and to be a blessing to someone else. Have you ever felt the “Sick and tired of being sick and tired” by the late Fannie Lou Hamer? This “fork in the road” moment is what I’m experiencing and I choose faith over fear; hope over despair; joy over sadness; love over hate.
Don’t believe me? I managed to develop my new Vision Board and I look at it every day as a reminder that God isn’t through with me yet!
I was listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show during his “Morning Praise”. With him just sharing his own experiences, you can tell his ‘walk’ is different. One of the things that he speaks about is the decision to be successful and to do what God has called you to do; finding your purpose. I did buy The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren several years ago. I’ll be grateful when I do find mine! It may be right in front of me and I haven’t realized it yet.
Until the next blog post, what decisions do you need to make to change your life and make it better? I’ve decided (with God’s help of course) to keep on pushing and move forward in faith….with my shades on!
